Lamplight Equestrian Center IDCTA Show

Rain or shine...ok snow or shine...we were going to enjoy this show! Yes, it snowed on May 16th in N. Illinois! In fact it snowed enough to accumulate in the fields and on the cars, but I didn't let that stop me from setting up at one of the most distinguished horseshow facilities in America, Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, IL.
When I arrived on the grounds I was greeted by beautiful towering trees that sprinkle the grounds and allow 8 arenas to feel secluded in the suburbs of Illinois. As well as the endless matching white fences and beautiful architecture. You can feel the history as you drive down the well groomed gravel drive.
Lamplight is home to some of the most prestigious horseshows in the area and gives the ultimate equestrian experience to those competing. The summer show season is launched with the much anticipated Spring Spectacular, followed by Equifest, Markel/USEF National Dressage Seat, Showplace Fall Classic 'A' Finals and ending with September Dressage at Lamplight.

As I began to set-up the Equestrianista boutique I could already see diligent competitors warming-up in the dressage ring. The horses were impeccably turned out and it made for a beautiful display.
The next two days were filled with meeting competitors and fellow vendors alike. I had the pleasure of meeting Cathy, the woman behind EquiCoach, Little Foxes Tack & Togs and many more! Everyone was delightful and excited Spring had finally sprung...even if it did snow the first day!
